This ministry is designed for children and youth with special needs that preclude them from a typical classroom model. The ministry provides a specially designed classroom with trained volunteers who minister to and care for the kids while their parent(s) worship. The ministry features a one on one student to adult ratio, peer modeling and lessons and activities specially designed to meet the needs of the children.
The Sunday program:
- Serves preschool, elementary school, and secondary school aged kids with learning, physical, mental, emotional and developmental differences and/or health impairments
- Offers a student/teacher ratio of 1:1 when needed
- Provides reversed inclusion with typical peers in a "special" classroom
- Includes a Bible story, craft, music time and interactive free play at several activity centers
